Greetings Fellow Drummers!
![]()
Hello all. I’m finally getting around to updating this blog. Here’s hoping that all of you had a wonderful holiday. The last time I posted on this blog was about a year ago and my house in the Musician’s Village was supposed to be ready to move into in about 2 months. Well, I’m still not in it and that sucks, but I hope to be in it in a month. I’m looking forward to rebuilding my recording studio, putting together a new band, and focusing on songwriting which is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.
The”The Crescent City Drum School” is doing well. I’ve not been able to get it to the level that I’d like due to the general situation of life in New Orleans these days, but I’m happy whenever I’m teaching anyone who’s really interested how to play the drums. Check the “Crescent City Drum School / CCDS” link on my Web Site for more details.
My agent, Emory White, and I continue to work on setting up clinics around the country. If you or your school is interested, please contact Emory to set it up.
I completed my article for Modern Drummer Magazine called “Flams Forever“, which came out in last months issue. I was shocked to find the news that Bill Miller, longtime friend and chief editor, had passed away from cancer. He was a good friend and a great lover of drums & drumming and will be sorely missed in the drumming community.
Peace,
Ricky Sebastian
